Here Come The Funky Munkys!!

Welcome to The Funky Munkys' blog!!! The Funky Munkys are a group of 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade girls who attend The Montessori School in Lutherville, Maryland. We have formed a girls' club which meets on alternate Thursday afternoons, after school, at the home of one of the girls. We have a cool renovated barn which serves as our clubhouse. We also have lots of activities planned for the year! I am the Mom of one of the girls, Cecile, and am one of the organizers.

The last time we met, the girls decided to call themselves The Funky Munkys and we discussed a number of things that we would like to do this year. We decided that one of our projects would be to set up and maintain this blog, which is viewable by the public. We hope the girls will use it to post photos, drawings, poetry, jounal entries, and anything else of a creative nature that they would like to share.

The weather is kind of dreary today, so I am not sure we will get to do some drawing outside. We meet in just about an hour's time, and i was anxious to get this blog up and running before we did! Of course, the format of this blog is quite flexible, and we can certainly change things around and add new things as we go. Like audio! Links to favorite websites! Lists! and more!
